From Moojalinus

What a great idea! and I could write a book - starting with when she was born. She was so beautiful and I thought it was so neat to have a baby sister til Mom's friend Bea Welsh said "what do you think of her - you're not the baby any more!" hmm. Fast forward to 8th grade at St. John's school. She had forgotten her books and when I took them to her she wouldn't get out of her seat, just kept slinking down further. The nun made her come to the door to get them - no wonder she didn't want to come. Every stitch she had on was mine! Taking her back and forth to St. Mary's of the Woods and wishing she didn't go there, but she was determined to ease the load at home. Glad when she came back. So proud of her going to Indiana State and her first teaching job in Shelbyville. Living with Bob and I and reading to Jennifer...which reminds me. 41 years ago today, she, Mom and Jude stood outside the labor room at Community Hosp. while I was waiting for Jennifer. Maureen yells "hurry up - I don't want anyone horning in on my day!". Coming to see me when Adam was born, so freezing cold she had icicles on her eyelashes. Becoming a Mom and so excited she couldn't quit talking. The best supporter Jennifer and Adam had in all their activities. Road trips to Adam's away games - and Florida, and California for Kelly's wedding. Every time she came to my house, she left something - her glasses, purse, book. Or she would have something on top of the car and forget to remove it: "Darn, I brought you some zuchinni, but I don't know where it is". Blown away at her students at the Sycamore School doing Shakespeare under her tutelage. So proud of the last one, seeing how she was loved and respected. In a nutshell, she loved her pogo stick, chocolate chip cookies, red wine and anything food Italian, Taco Bell, the Blanfords and Scotts, Academy Singers, Sycamore School, and most especially Megan, Annie, David and the rest of her family. I can't believe she would be 60 years old. I miss her every day.
